ABOUT MAYOR ALVEY
I am a proud, unapologetic, fifth-generation Dotte, and I come from a long line of public servants. The Alvey family has served and continues to serve our community as police officers, school board members, City Council members, judges, leaders of neighborhood groups and civic organizations, church leaders, and as members of the former Shawnee Township Board. In 2017, the citizens of Wyandotte County entrusted to me the position of Mayor/CEO of the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City Kansas. In all of my responsibilities, I have worked very hard to live up to the reputation earned by my family as honest, passionate and smart servants of the public good. If given the opportunity, I will continue to face the challenges of our community to continue the progress of the last four years.
As your mayor, I remain committed to improving the look, feel, and function of Wyandotte County.
